FOUNDING VISIONARY
Hénōsis Ministries, Inc. came to fruition under the inspiration, encouragement, guidance, and support of [Soterios Theodore] Ted Argeroplos. Ted—a native of Dayton, Ohio—is a distinguished Greek-American businessman and eminent Greek Orthodox philanthropist. High-achievement is in Ted's Greek genes; and as a young man he earned a B.Sc. in Business from Ohio State University and a subsequent Master of Science degree from Johns Hopkins University. Thereafter, Ted's studies and early career as a financial wholesaler laid the foundation for his entrepreneurial journey, leading to the establishment [in 2000] of his own enterprise, AMA Systems, where he serves as owner, president, and CEO. Today, AMA Systems collaborates with most major and Fortune 1000 corporations in the United States, including American Express and VISA. The company is renowned as the largest point redemption fulfillment house globally in the consumer electronics/products distributor sector of the point redemption industry. Additionally, AMA Systems has a division dedicated to International Trade within the world’s free trade zones. Ted's extensive expertise and innovative approach earned him an invitation to speak at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland [in 2020] on topics related to world hunger and new technologies. Beyond his entrepreneurial accomplishments, Ted is a committed philanthropist, supporting numerous local and national charities. He is a Founder of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation and Archon Eftaxias of the Ecumenical Patriarchate—serving on various committees. Ted is also a fulfilled and active member of Leadership 100 and sits on the board of the Panhellenic Scholarship Foundation. His philanthropic efforts extend from supporting the fight against Cystic Fibrosis to his involvement with the National Hellenic Society and the American Hellenic Institute. Ted's dedication to the Greek Orthodox community is evident through his underwriting of multiple projects both domestically and internationally. Even so, this great Hellene and outstanding philanthropist also supports other projects, such as Okay to Play—a nonprofit organization that aids underprivileged children in far way places like Afghanistan. Yet, in addition to all of these accomplishments, and in keeping with Hellenic tradition, Ted's greatest accomplishment/achievement is his wonderful Greek family—both nuclear and extended. His dedicated and loving wife, Demetra, and their exemplary children, Nikos and Vasiliki, have been [and continue to be] an integral part of Ted's purpose-driven life. Ultimately, following the example of the Ecumenical Patriarch, Ted is yet another Greek ambassador of the Lord Jesus Christ's selfless love and sacrificial service to people everywhere—regardless of race, ethnicity, age, religion, gender, disability, economic status, and other diverse backgrounds. All those who come into contact with this great Greek-American [and his family] are immediately transformed into ardent and eternal Philhellenes.
